We are thrilled to announce the first Marine Makerfaire, in partnership with Project Oceanology and Spark Makerspace. This is an exciting opportunity for students in 7th thru 10th grades interested in robotics and/or marine sciences.
Students will learn about how technology and marine science come together in this full-day hands-on workshop. Activities include time on the water on one of Project Oceanology’s research vessels, and a session learning Arduino programming and building a sensor. Discussion on how this work can help solve environmental and maritime challenges will close the day.
Students receive lunch and and an Arduino sensor kit.
Thanks to the Community Foundation of Eastern CT, Pfizer Community Foundation and CTNext for their support of this program.
