Employers in Connecticut added 6,100 jobs in June, erasing declines in March and April and taking a nick out of the unemployment rate, the state Department of Labor said Thursday.
In addition, economists revised upward the May jobs gain, to 6,100 from 4,100 initially calculated. Over the year, nonagricultural employment grew by 14,900 jobs, an increase of nearly 1 percent.
“June’s increase of 6,100 jobs overcame the entire decline we saw in March and April,” said Andy Condon, research director at the Department of Labor.
