Lace up your sneakers and get ready to raise a glass - Groton’s favorite end-of-summer tradition is back. The 6th Annual Groton City Brew Run returns on Saturday, September 12, bringing together runners, walkers, craft beer lovers, and community members for a one-of-a-kind event at Eastern Point Beach. What started as a fun local race back in 2021 has quickly grown into a signature event, blending fitness, local flavor, and waterfront views into an experience that keeps getting better every year.

At its core, the Brew Run is about more than just crossing the finish line. Participants will take on a scenic 5K run or walk before transitioning into a lively brewfest featuring local craft beverages, live music, and great food for local food trucks. This year's live act will be the return of Acoustic Marshpit, who had the party hoppin' two years ago.

Last year’s event drew nearly 600 participants and marked the first time the Brew Run topped 500 runners and walkers—a milestone that speaks to just how much this event has become part of the Groton community. If history is any indication, this year’s race is shaping up to be even bigger. Add in the free kids run, limited-edition race shirts, and the unbeatable backdrop of Eastern Point Beach, and you’ve got the perfect way to spend a late summer Saturday.

Registration is officially open, and early sign-ups are strongly encouraged - because nothing says “I’ll do it later” like missing out on your shirt size or a spot in the beer garden. So grab your friends, form a team, or come solo and make new ones along the way. However you choose to participate, the Groton City Brew Run is ready to deliver another memorable day of community, energy, and just the right amount of post-race celebration.
