Business Retention & Expansion
The Town's Economic Development Commission and staff work with existing Town businesses to identify problem areas and assist with any expansion plans. Business retention efforts include:
- making the Zoning Regulations more business-friendly
- streamlining the Town's permitting process
- partnering with businesses making infrastructure investments
Business Outreach & Attraction
We aim to attract new businesses to Groton through:
- Raising awareness of our key industries
- Outreach to retailers and restaurants
- Working with businesses to find commercial space and sites
