Federal grant will bring charging stations to Groton Public Library

The town is one of seven in the state that will receive new electric vehicle charging stations as a result of a $14.6 million dollar federal grant announced by Gov. Ned Lamont on Thursday.

Two separate charging stations, each with two charging cords, will be placed at the Groton Public Library, which already had one older charging station. It will be removed, according to library director Jennifer Miele. The two new stations will charge vehicles faster.
