Planet Fitness moves to a new location

Planet Fitness has moved to a new location on Long Hill Road. The new location, located in the TJ Maxx plaza, is almost double the size of Planet Fitness' previous Groton location. The brand new building features all new, state-of- the-art strength and cardio equipment, a 30-minute circuit training workout area and a Black Card Spa that includes tanning, massage chairs, Hydro-Massage Loungers and a Total Body Enhancement booth. 

"We are very excited to provide the Groton and southeast Connecticut community with a world-class facility where they can make their health and happiness a priority in 2018, regardless of their fitness level and without fear of facing judgement," Vice President of Marketing Matt Wilcox said in a release. "The community has really embraced us and, by holding this event, we are able to thank everyone for helping Planet Fitness open our doors, have fun and see how fitness can benefit them." 

A grand opening and ribbon cutting was held on January 10th.
