An online “geography resource” that regularly singles out U.S. locales has taken a shine to southeastern Connecticut.
In an article posted last Wednesday, World Atlas identifies “8 Places To Call Home in Connecticut in 2025,” putting New London, Groton and Norwich, in that order, at the top of the list.
Colchester, a fourth New London County town, and Putnam, a Windham County town, also made the list, as did Middletown (Middlesex County), Torrington (Litchfield County) and Vernon (Tolland County).
Conspicuous by its absence is any mention of Fairfield County's tony towns, which often appear in rankings of the state’s municipalities.
