A new Mystic restaurant is from a familiar group

On a sunny late-August day, the patio outside Jeremiah’s Restaurant & Tavern in downtown Mystic was populated by customers clustered under umbrella-topped tables, chatting and digging into their meals.

This is the latest new food venue to open in Mystic, with the downstairs tavern having debuted a month ago, and its upstairs restaurant scheduled for later in September.

This is also the latest new food venue to be opened by the Cannonball Management Group, which runs an array of successful restaurants in the area, including Jealous Monk, Rio Salado, Taquerio, Rio Rapido, Andiamo, and El Sueno.

Cannonball Group owner Bill Middleton said of Jeremiah’s, “Downstairs is a much more broadly accessible tavern experience where you can take the kids, the whole family. (Upstairs) is a much more elevated classical cuisine.”
