Developers eyeing Pleasant Valley School site in Groton

Economic Development, Community Interest
The town is seeing significant interest from developers in the former Pleasant Valley Elementary School and anticipates again issuing a Request for Proposals for the vacant, town-owned property in the fall.
“We have significant interest, and the development community is waiting for this RFP,” said Paige Bronk, the town’s economic and community development manager.
A draft Request for Proposals, under review, outlines guidelines for the future redevelopment of the 16.7-acre property at 380 Pleasant Valley Road South, near Route 12. The guidelines are what the town would like to see in a proposal, but are not required, said Jon Reiner, the town’s director of planning and development services.
