New training in Rhode Island for building submarines

U.S. Sen. Jack Reed is helping to kick off a new apprenticeship program for people who want to help build submarines.
General Dynamics Electric Boat has facilities in Rhode Island and Connecticut. The submarine manufacturer has said it needs to hire many more employees to help build ballistic-missile and attack submarines.
The apprenticeship program is a collaboration between Electric Boat and the Community College of Rhode Island.
